Kids Love Music specializes in three types of parent participation children’s music classes, based upon the age and developmental stage of the child or children attending the class. Some will recognize these types of classes as called “mommy and me classes”, but we do want to include either parent (or even Grandma and Grandpa…) in this fun time with the kids!
Class Title: Babies Love Music
(Listed in some catalogs as Kids Love Music: Baby Class)
Ages: 4-14 months (i.e. those not walking)
Class Description: Introduce your baby to the wonders of music. Encourage your child’s cognitive and social development through playing drums, maracas and rhythm instruments; singing body parts, sign language, and peek-a-boo songs; doing finger-plays, lap games and more. Optional $20 materials fee payable to the instructor in class includes: a children’s music CD (Baby and Me), peek-a-boo scarf, and a rhythm instrument. Adult participation is required.
Class Title: Toddlers Love Music
(Listed in some catalogs as Kids Love Music Ages 1-2 years)
Ages: 1-2 years (i.e. those walking)
Class Description: Perfect for the active toddler! Mix together rhythm band activities, dancing, and drum and xylophone playing. Add in hello and goodbye songs with the auto-harp and harmonica. Keep the children active and engaged. Optional $20 materials fee includes: a children’s music CD (It’s Music Time Again or Sing With Me), a harmonica, and a rhythm band instrument. Adult participation is required.
Class Title: Kids Love Music
Ages: 1-4 years
Class Description: Join us for an interactive, fun time with your child! Sing, dance, play with puppets and rhythm instruments. End with an instrumental jam session using xylophones, glockenspiels, and drums! Along the way we encourage creativity, social and cognitive development, and motor skills. Optional materials fee $20, includes: a children’s music CD (It’s Music Time Again or Sing With Me), a harmonica, and a rhythm band instrument. Adult participation is required.
Class Title: Kids Love Music: Holiday Class
(1 – 4 years) Mix together holiday music and winter songs with snowmen, jingle bells, drums, xylophones, singing & dancing. Mmm, mmm, good! Adult participation required. Optional $20 materials fee.
